Je kunt dus wel zeggen dat de blues h\u00e1\u00e1r vond in plaats van andersom, beaamt zangeres en gitaarvirtuoos <b>Joanna Connor<\/b>. Ze speelde op haar 17e al professioneel en vanwege haar verlangen om zich volledig in de blues te verdiepen, verhuisde ze in de jaren tachtig naar Chicago. Connor deelde het podium met grootheden als Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, B.B. King en Screamin\u2019 Jay Hawkins. Met haar eigen band maakte ze een reeks albums en toerde ze uitgebreid, voordat ze terwijl ze haar kinderen grootbracht vaste artiest werd in Chicago\u2019s Kingston Mines Club en the House of Blues.
