J & The Causeways

Formed at the legendary Maple Leaf Bar in New Orleans, J & The Causeways is a soul/R&B ensemble fronted by lead singer and keyboardist Jordan Anderson. He was first exposed to the power of music via his grandmother, a piano teacher in his small rural Louisiana hometown, and discovered the likes of Otis Redding, Al Green and Aretha Franklin in her record collection. He went on to develop his own style, resulting in his band that finds itself mentioned in the same breath as the likes of St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Alabama Shakes and The Marcus King Band. Last year saw the release of their debut album Motions, which was recently followed by the live record Live At Tipitina’s.
