The clue is in the name: Altered Five Blues Band is a five-piece blues collective that was formed in 2002 and hails from Milwaukee. Frontman and singer Jeff Taylor makes you reminisce about legendary blues singers of the past, though he never imitates, instead making his own mark. As does the band, whose last two studio albums both entered the Top 10 of the US Billboard Top Blues Albums Chart, while three of their albums nabbed sought-after awards. Since their debut album Bluesified was released in 2008, the band have recorded six studio albums so far, the latest being 2021’s Holler If You Hear Me. Last year saw the release of their EP Testifyin’. All bandmembers have a hand in writing the songs, but if you really want to know what these five men are about, you simply have to see them play live!
